Wednesday 10/8/08

My gosh, is it Wednesday already??? The days are running into each other. I think Daddy had over done a little Friday so he decided he would just stay home over the weekend and rest. He and I had a really lazy day Saturday, watched ballgames all day. We are now into the baseball and football, he has learned to hold on to the remote, because when Wally and I get it then we get to adjust the volumn and controls!!! :-) A little power play going!!! Sunday was pretty much the same. He got up to go to church at Cotton Plant but decided to go back to bed after breakfast, he said he was just tired, he thought he needed to rest. Wally was getting all his gear ready to head out for Harrison to the HS Golf State Tourney. He left around 11:00. I lounged most of the day myself. I did get Daddy's truck washed though, it was getting pretty bad. But I got it all cleaned up for him to start out on Monday. Wally called around 10 pm and they had made it to Harrison in one piece. He made the boys walk the course and check out yardages. He was so excited, he probably didn't sleep a wink. I had been giving him sleep aid all week because he couldn't sleep. He is so hyper!!!

Monday Daddy went to Stuttgart to get shots in his knee and back. Trish met him in Stuttgart. Billy had his knee surgery Monday morning, he was in recovery when Daddy got there. Daddy got his shots and visited a little with Trish and then he was gone. Trish took Billy home and he will be recooping this week at home. All went well. Daddy made a circle around to Des Arc to take Tony out for lunch and to check on the old brown S10, it has died again on Tony. Daddy has decided that it wasn't worth getting fixed again so we have a truck for sale - ANY TAKERS!!! He was pretty tired when he got home, but had made it fine.

Tuesday morning he was up bright and early headed for Searcy to get his blood checked. I have tried to explain to him that we could get it checked in Forrest City, BUT, he insists on driving to Searcy, of course he took his usual tour!!! Des Arc, Searcy, McCrory, Cotton Plant, and back to Brinkley, Wheatley, and then home. I got tickled at him, he said that he had missed going by to seeing Aunt Pearl, he will have to go another day this week!! Bless his heart, he is still trying to take care of everyone!! I think I had made a mistake on the blood level thing earlier. They want his blood to be around 2.5, his last week was 3.2 (too thin) so they changed his dosage of meds, and now this week it was 1.9 (too thick), but changed his dosage again and he said he was feeling much better, he knew that he should have been taking his meds the way he always did!!! I have had a time with him about the meds, he doesn't like for me to tell him that he has to change because the doctor says too!!! Although, he probably was right, but I apologized and told him I was just going by what the doctor said!!! Wally made it home around 11:30 PM, give completely out but had to tell me all about what each boy shot and who won what and so on!!! I finally told him I was sorry but I had already had my Tylenol PM and it would have to wait until morning!!! :-) His team came in 4th place out of 12 teams. He was pleased, he was afraid they wouldn't do as well as they did. Harrison's team won, of course. Wally blamed it on the pin placements and how hard they had made the course for the tournament, he was sure that the Harrison team had been playing those pin placements all week, then they changed them for the practice round and changed them back for the tourney, this is the way his brain works!! Anyway, golf season is over!! Yeah!!! :-)

Forgot this, Daddy also went to a visitation in Marianna last night, some of the horse show family passed away. Tony and Ethan were going so he met them down their.

So this brings me up to date!! This is Wednesday and Daddy is going to rest until around 4:00 and he thinks he might just go play cards and eat with the Langley guys in McCrory or wherever he goes!!!! :-) That is very good though, I just want him to be able to go and enjoy being with his friends and family. He also asked me if I thought I would be going to Haley's game Thursday night in Brinkley to watch her cheer!!! I told him I would have to wait until Thursday afternoon before I decided.

Thanks again to all the friends and family and for the prayers.
