1 Year Anniversary for Daddy

February 5th was a very special day for me, it had been one year since Daddy called for me and Wally to come get him, he was ready to move to Forrest City. We had been working hard during the month of January last year to get him to come to live with us, but he had to wait until HE was ready. It has been a fast moving year, I really can't believe it has been a year. With lots of prayers and God's help we have survived a year that could have been a disaster, we sold the house in Cotton Plant, Daddy has adjusted well to his new home, Wally has been a saint, Scooter loves Pawpaw, and I have learned what patience really means. It has taken our entire family to make sure that he has gotten what he needed. He had a pacemaker put in and as Art says, "The Energizer Bunny" has been charged up!!! :-)

I have actually found out a lot about my own Daddy that I didn't know. Living with someone really helps to know someone!!! He likes to put his PJ's under his cover with his heating pad, I couldn't find where he was hiding them!!! He has taught me how to cook fish, except I had to put a stop of cooking fish inside the house!! We are going to save that task when it is pretty outside!!

Wally has discovered that he actually doesn't have to eat everything that Daddy eats or cooks, he claims I'm trying to kill him!!! I have found out that some things just never change, Daddy still loves ballgames, playing cards, visiting with friends and family, and talking on his cell phone!! He loves his phone!! Would never have believed that!!

I could go on and on, but just wanted to share with family and friends our little anniversary!! Thanks for all the support from his family and his abundance of friends, we love you all.

I will try and do better to keep you updated. Pawpaw cheered Haley on to a winner in the Brinkley Jr High Valentine Queen!! We are so proud of her.

Friday 1/23/09

Just a quick note to let everyone know that Sister is home and doing better. She spent 2 nights in hospital and went through diagnostic clinic. Thanks for the prayers!

Pawpaw has been on the go this week!! Feeling better but has about worn himself out!! :-) He is too funny - AT TIMES!!! He started his week going to Cotton Plant Monday to the senior citizens lunch at the church. I asked him if he played Bingo with them, he said no, he didn't like bingo, but he told the Preacher that he liked to shoot dice if he had any!@!@!@! No one could get away with that but him!! Tuesday he went to McCrory to watch BB game, Wednesday he rested all day so that he could go play cards and stay out late, then Thursday he went to ballgames again, and when I saw him at noon he couldn't decide which BB game he was going to tonight.

He was in a delimma this morning though, his cell phone went out, and he couldn't understand why. He said he didn't need one any way, he never uses it!!! EXCUSE ME!!! The 2nd place trophy for using a cell phone is him, Wally is the 1st place winner!! So when I went home at noon I had him all fixed up with a new phone and tried to give instructions but that didn't go very well. Anyway, he is talking calls again.

The weekend is almost here and Wally and I can't decide just when we will run to Jonesboro to see Baby Max. I may have new pictures next week!!! :-)

January 18, 2009

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year. I have had computer problems but got it back and running good now. We had a different but wonderful Christmas. We spent several days just looking at Baby Max!! :-) Daddy had a good Christmas he visited just about everyone!! Then he took the stomach virus or ate something bad while he was visiting Trish and family. He was sick for a complete week. But I finally got him back up and going again, wasn't easy!! Maybe I should say Wally and I got him back up and going again!! Don't know what I would do without Wally!! He helps me so much with Daddy.

Daddy went back to doctor last Tuesday, got a good checkup, just had to change his blood thinner a little, gosh he hates to make changes!! He has been to 2 funerals this week.

We had a call this week about Mother's niece Bobbie passing away. She was Aunt Brooks' daughter. I called and talked with Brenda, Judy, and Eddie. It has been so long since we were in touch with each other. Mother loved her family. We have lots of really happy memories of the time with Bobbie and her family. Daddy went to visit with Johnny Hudspeth and then went to Elaine and visited with Charlie, Eddie and Linda.

I will try and do better of keeping up with my blog. Prayers are with you all!

Walter Maxwell Rauth Has Arrived!

GOOD NEWS!! Walter Maxwell "Max" Rauth arrived on Saturday, 12/20/08, at 2:15 AM. He weighed in at 7 lbs 15 oz, 21 inches long. A little dark hair and chubby checks. Just beautiful of course. Mother Steph and Dad Adam are doing great, very proud of their new son. Granddaddy Waddy and Memaw just wanted everyone to know that our little miracle made it into this world healthy and beautiful, prayers were answered. Pawpaw has only seen pictures so far but is getting ready to make a trip to Jonesboro to see our new family edition. Our Christmas came a little early but we were all ready for him!!

Christmas is getting closer!!

He loves "Red" (Cindy)!!!

Got a call from Steph and Adam today, doctor seems to think we may be having our bundle of joy in about a week or so, a little earlier than due date (12/25). We are so excited. We just pray for a health baby and mother!!

Trish is home and is feeling some better each day. Doctor says it will take 3 weeks for her meds to get in her system. She still needs your prayers until she gets back to being our "Trish".

Daddy is feeling so much better. He is just going and going again!! And that is a good sign, it means that he is feeling good and he doesn't want to miss anything!! :-) HE went to the football game in Des Arc Friday night and spent the night with his good buddy Russell (a God send), and then they went to Little Rock Saturday to watch playoffs. He had a really good time. Then he spent the night with Trish Sat. & Sun. He went to Stuttgart yesterday to the doctor to get his shots in his knee and back, this weather hasn't been very good for that. He went to the foot doctor this morning and then to Brinkley to a funeral of one of his good Cotton Plant friends, Mr. Horner.

BEfore he left town he came by the office to see everyone!! He loves to visit you know. But, it just so happened that we were taking Christmas pictures in the lobby when he came so he just fit right in. Everyone here at the office has adopted him, they all think he is a hoot!!

Sister Dearest 12-4-08

Not good news today, Tonya and Billy had to take Trish back to emergency room last night in NLR with uncontrollable pain. I talked to Tonya & Trish at noon today and this was the update that I got. She is more comfortable with the meds they have given her, she is having a series of test done on her blood, also MRI on her back, chest xray, and a pretty good complete going over to try and find out what is causing all her pain. The last time she went to emergency room they just gave her a knock out shot and sent her home, but this time Tonya decided to make they try and find out what is causing the pain. This is going on 3 weeks (?) with her legs hurting, deep pain.

Keep her in your prayers. I hope to get some good news tomorrow after they run all the test.

Daddy is still feeling good, he has gotten his energy back so he is on the go. Art calls him the energized bunny since he got his pacemaker. He is worried about Trish, as we all are.

Wally is still putting up Christmas Lights outside, have I told you that Wally LOVES CHRISTMAS, he actually thinks he is SANTA!! I had this bright idea of decorating my BIG tree with all my stuffed Christmas Bears, I thought, that will be easy and will not take too long. Sure enough while Wally was outside I decorated the whole tree. I thought it looked pretty good, not my prettiest, but it sure didn't take long with the big bears. Wally came in and looked at it and told me right off that he hated the tree, it didn't look right. Well, I sat and pouted for awhile , he knew he had hurt my feelings, and I looked at the tree again, and yes - Wally was right, it didn't look very good. So I UNdecorated the tree, and started all over again and by the time I went to bed we had a beautiful tree again!! Wally was so very happy!! Daddy thinks we have just completely lost our minds of course. He was fusing and cussing the whole time about all the lights and all the decorations. We love Christmas and what it means. It is a time for friends, family, and celebration of our Jesus Christ.
