Daddy & Aunt Pearl Fishing Trip

Daddy left early Monday morning (8/25/08) to go to pick Aunt Pearl up and they were going to East Lake to go fishing. I called him Monday noon and he said that they were eating sandwiches because the wind was blowing too hard to fish. So Tuesday they got to go fishing in the boat and caught a few small bass - according to Daddy!! I called him Tuesday after lunch and he was taking a nap and he said Aunt Pearl was cleaning the fish!!! Aunt Pearl is nearly blind, so be careful if they invite you to eat fish with them!!! :-) I went home Wednesday for lunch and the fisherman returned, dragging his behind, he was give out!!! Couldn't wait to get down to his room and bed. But, before 5:00 he came by the office all dressed in his same fishing clothes and told me he was going to play cards with the Langley crew. Thursday, he didn't get out of his pj's all day, rested!! This morning he was up and out to go fishing at Biscoe this morning, haven't heard from him yet. I had to remind him that I just have a refrigerator, not a freezer!!!! We have it full now!!!

Adam & Steph Moved to Jonesboro

We went to Jonesboro on Saturday-8/23/08- to help Adam & Steph & Miller get moved into their new home. It was so exciting. Joel & Becky were there also and we got things moved from Maumelle to Jonesboro and the house cleaned and liveable.

Wally and I went back on Sunday and helped finish up with the move. I am so proud for them. Adam has taken over a new job and so has Steph, but they are very, very happy with the move. Baby BooBoo is due in December and they have his room all ready for him!!!

Daddy Going to Shelby,NC

Yesterday was a little crazy. Daddy came by the office to tell me that he was going to go play cards in McCrory and that he had decided that he wanted to go to Shelby, NC to the American Legion Baseball World Series, that starts on Friday. He wanted me to be sure and get all his clothes together and get him some money, get him a room, and make him a map, he was going to leave first thing this morning (Thursday).

I finished out the day at work and went straight home. When I got home I found a big bowl of catfish in the frig and a big bowl of okra that he had cut up. He called to tell me that I needed to freeze all of it!!! And I did.

Then later I got on computer and started trying to find him a room in Shelby, NC, and get him a road map. I got phone numbers, maps, reservations, and everything else I could think of and put it in a big envelop. I finally got to bed around 10:30, couldn't sleep, worrying about Daddy and his trip. I got back up and went and told Wally that when Daddy got home that he would have to help him clean his truck out, he has everything in the back of his truck. Then I went back to bed to toss and tumble.

Morning finally got here and I was awaken by some really loud talking (Wally & Daddy). WELL, he had decided not to go to NC, because of the weather. One of the coaches had called and told him that the weather was bad and that it was really a lot of walking he would have to do. So at 6:00 AM this morning he ate breakfast and went back to bed. Of course Wally & I had to get ready and go to work!!! WOW!!! What a night at the Rauth's!!! Pawpaw keeps us on our toes!!

I just had my big 60 birthday!! WOW!! Wally & I went to Harrah's and spent the weekend. Lost my money, but still had a good time. We only played for a couple of hours. First time we had gotten to go for a weekend outing in a while. Pawpaw stayed home and babysat with Scooter!! We didn't have to worry about him!@!@!@!

I got my new car today!! 2007 CTS Cadillac - Black on Black!!! Just too sharp looking!! Wally says that I really look like a Rich B**** Now for sure!!! He is so bad.

I am just beginning my blog today, wish me luck. I am doing this for my family. I think it is really neat!!
